Integrative Psychotherapy in Walthamstow, London E17
Calm, relational integrative psychotherapy for adults in Walthamstow and East London — especially if previous therapy didn’t quite land, and you want something more flexible than a single fixed model.
What integrative psychotherapy means here
Integrative psychotherapy means I don’t stick to one rigid template. We draw on different modalities — relational talking therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and experiential or creative approaches — to find what actually resonates with you and your history, adjusting as we go.
If you’ve tried therapy before and left feeling stuck, unseen, or sure it “wasn’t for you,” it often isn’t that therapy failed. It’s that the approach didn’t match you. This practice is built for that second (or third) chance — without starting from scratch in the same old way.
Relational depth, without the jargon trap
When we work together, you can expect candour and collaboration. Your lived experience is held in higher regard than textbook models. I’m interested in functional truth: the beliefs we treat as true and act on — even when they cause pain — and how those beliefs shape day-to-day behaviour.
The goal isn’t to erase hard feelings. It’s to help you drop the struggle with what’s keeping you stuck, stay grounded in what matters, and take steps toward a life aligned with your values.
ACT-informed and creatively open
Much of the work is ACT-informed: building psychological flexibility, untangling from unhelpful self-stories, and supporting committed action. Where it helps, we can also bring in creative or musical processes — always with clear consent and an agreed frame for the session.
I am registered with the HCPC as an Arts Therapist / Music Therapist and practise under the standards of the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (NCIP).
Practicalities in Walthamstow
I work across Walthamstow and East London, but I don’t currently hold a fixed clinic room. When we begin, we arrange a suitable private space together — somewhere calm and practical for the work. Home visits are available where that feels more accessible, and online sessions remain an option if that’s the better fit.
